OSCE: Militants deploy dozens of military equipment in eastern Ukraine

The militants deployed Grad multiple launch rocket systems, tanks, howitzers, and infantry fighting vehicles in the uncontrolled territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

This is stated in the OSCE SMM daily report 215/2021 issued on 14 September 2021.

In violation of withdrawal lines, the SMM saw 21 multiple launch rocket systems in a nongovernment-controlled area of Luhansk region, namely 122mm BM-21 Grad systems near Khrustalnyi (formerly Krasnyi Luch, 56km south-west of Luhansk).

Beyond withdrawal lines but outside designated storage sites, the Mission saw 47 tanks in two training areas in non-government-controlled areas of Luhansk

Region. Of them, 24 tanks of undetermined type were stationed in a training area near Buhaivka (37km south-west of Luhansk), where imagery also revealed the presence of 66 armoured combat vehicles. Another 23 tanks were spotted in a training area near Kruhlyk (31km south-west of Luhansk).

Moreover, the OSCE SMM revealed the military-type presence in the security zone. Militants located two infantry fighting vehicles (one BMP-1 and one BMP-2) near Dovhe (22km north-west of Luhansk).

Twenty-four self-propelled and towed howitzers were spotted in a training area near Buhaivka (37km south-west of Luhansk).
