The Armed Forces of Ukraine are ready to defend and repel enemy attacks in the event of a full-scale invasion or attempts to seize critical infrastructure and strategically important facilities.

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Major General Valeriy Zaluzhny wrote about this on Facebook.

"We are ready to defend and repel enemy attacks both in the event of a full-scale invasion and in the event of attempts to capture critical infrastructure and strategically important facilities, including operational airfields," Zaluzhny noted.

According to him, in order to increase the operational capabilities of the military command of the defense forces to manage a joint group of troops in the course of performing defense tasks of certain areas and critical infrastructure, command and staff training is conducted simultaneously at five military training fields and on Zmiiny Island from 9 to 13 August 2021 with the Joint Forces Command and other units of the military command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the involvement of units in practical actions.

As Ukrinform reported, President Volodymyr Zelensky visited Zmiiny Island in the Black Sea yesterday to check the combat readiness of the Ukrainian military.
