Denisova, Bogner discuss civilian casualties in eastern Ukraine

Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Liudmyla Denisova discussed the situation in eastern Ukraine, including civilian casualties, with Head of the UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine Matilda Bogner.

The meeting was also attended by Chief Monitor of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine Yaşar Halit Çevik and Deputy Defense Minister of Ukraine Oleksandr Polishchuk.

"We discussed the situation in eastern Ukraine and exchanged information on conflict-related civilian casualties and identified human rights violations in the territories not controlled by the Ukrainian Government," Denisova posted on Telegram.

As noted, the participants agreed to hold regular coordination meetings to strengthen cooperation in the field of protection of citizens' rights in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.

"I also thanked the representatives of international monitoring missions in Ukraine for their unwavering and unconditional stance on the recognition of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our state," Denisova noted.
