Foreign military attachés visit JFO area in eastern Ukraine

Representatives of the Kyiv Association of Military Attaches (KAVA) have visited the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in eastern Ukraine.

"On May 11, representatives of the military and diplomatic institutions of foreign states paid a working visit to the Joint Forces Operation area. The delegation included Defense Attaché at the Embassy of the Kingdom of Sweden in Ukraine Captain 1st Rank Björn Vilbern, Defense Attaché at the Embassy of the Kingdom of Denmark in Ukraine Captain 1st Rank Felix Ebbestad, and Defense Attaché at the Embassy of the Kingdom of Norway in Ukraine Lieutenant Colonel Boye Lillerud," the press center of the JFO Headquarters reports.

Deputy Commander of the Joint Forces, Major General Eduard Moskaliov briefed the members of the foreign delegation on the current security and operational situation in the JFO area.

Head of the Ukrainian side of the Joint Control and Coordination Center (JCCC), Major General Serhiy Salkutsan informed those present about the main tasks assigned to the JCCC and the course of their implementation.

The military attachés visited the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which perform tasks on the contact line, and got acquainted with the infrastructure and work of the Zolote entry-exit checkpoint.

As Ukrinform reported, on May 7, the foreign ministers of Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg visited the Shchastia entry-exit checkpoint in Luhansk region.
