U.S. Embassy concerned about damage to civilian infrastructure in eastern Ukraine

The Embassy of the United States expressed concern over reports of damage to civilian infrastructure in eastern Ukraine.

“Concerned about reports of damage to critical civilian infrastructure in eastern Ukraine, especially water systems and hospitals. We demand an end to Russia’s aggression in Ukraine, which threatens civilians and the systems and infrastructure that serve as their lifelines,” the U.S. Embassy posted on Twitter on May 8.

Several attacks on civilian facilities in Donetsk region, damaging hospitals and water infrastructure which supplies 1.1 million people on both sides of the contact line, have been reported in recent days.
