Invaders fire 120mm, 82mm mortars and grenade launchers in Donbas

Over the past day, March 7, Russian invaders violated the ceasefire in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in Donbas five times.

"The armed formations of the Russian Federation opened fire from 120mm and 82mm mortars and a tripod-mounted man-portable antitank gun on Ukrainian positions near Avdiivka (17km north of Donetsk) and Lebedynske (16km east of Mariupol); an under-barrel grenade launcher – outside Opytne (12km north-west of Donetsk); and an anti-tank missile system and small arms – in the area of Pivdenne (40km north-east of Donetsk)," the press center of the JFO Headquarters reports.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces returned fire to the enemy's shelling.

No casualties among Ukrainian troops were reported. The OSCE representatives were informed about all ceasefire violations through the Ukrainian side of the Joint Control and Coordination Center (JCCC).

As of 07:00 on March 8, the situation in the JFO area remains controlled by Ukrainian troops. One ceasefire violation was recorded. The armed formations of the Russian Federation opened fire from grenade launchers of various systems and small arms near Vodiane in the Sea of Azov area. Ukrainian defenders fired back.
