SMM spots 22 Grad multiple rocket launchers in occupied Luhansk region

The OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine (SMM) has detected 22 Grad multiple rocket launchers deployed in violation of withdrawal lines in the occupied Luhansk region.

The OSCE SMM said this in a report issued on January 18, based on information from the monitoring teams received as of 19:30 January 17, 2020.

According to the report, on January 16, an SMM patrol spotted 22 multiple launch rocket systems (BM-21 Grad, 122mm) near Krasnolutskyi (52km south-west of Luhansk).

In addition, SMM observers recorded three anti-tank guns (MT-12 Rapira, 100mm) near Illinivka (formerly Illicha, 56km north of Donetsk). The weapons were deployed in violation of withdrawal lines.

As reported, between the evenings of January 15 and 17, the SMM recorded 91 ceasefire violations in Donbas, including 83 ones in Donetsk region.
