Russian-led forces violate ceasefire in Donbas seven times

Over the past day, seven ceasefire violations were recorded in the Joint Forces Operation area in eastern Ukraine.

 “Most violations were committed by the enemy in the area of responsibility of the operational and tactical group ‘East’. The armed formations of the Russian Federation opened fire from tripod-mounted man-portable antitank guns near Marinka (23km south-west of Donetsk), Lebedynske (16km east of Mariupol) and Krasnohorivka (21km west of Donetsk); heavy machine guns – in the area of Lebedynske, Pisky (11km north-west of Donetsk) and Marinka; hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers and small arms – outside Vodiane in the Sea of Azov area,” the press center of the JFO Headquarters informs.

In the area of responsibility of the operational and tactical group "North", the Russian occupation forces fired heavy machine guns and small arms on Ukrainian positions near Pivdenne (40km north-east of Donetsk); grenade machine guns and heavy machine guns – outside Svitlodarsk (57km north-east of Donetsk).

The OSCE representatives were informed about all the facts of ceasefire violations through the Ukrainian side of the Joint Control and Coordination Center (JCCC).

Ukrainian troops sustained no casualties.

Today, January 4, no ceasefire violations have been recorded in the Joint Forces Operation area.

The situation remains controlled by Ukrainian troops.
