OSCE spots 23 Grad multiple rocket launchers in occupied Luhansk region

An OSCE SMM drone has spotted 23 Grad multiple rocket launchers deployed in violation of withdrawal lines in the occupied Luhansk region.

The OSCE SMM said this in a report issued on December 30, based on information from the monitoring teams received as of 19:30 on December 29, 2020.

In particular, on December 28, an SMM long-range UAV spotted two multiple launch rocket systems (BM-21 Grad, 122mm) in a training area near Miusynsk (62km south-west of Luhansk) and another 21Grad multiple rocket launchers near Khrustalnyi (formerly Krasnyi Luch, 56km south-west of Luhansk). The weapons were deployed in violation of withdrawal lines.

In addition, beyond withdrawal lines but outside designated storage sites, the SMM detected 60 units of equipment at a training ground in non-government-controlled areas of Luhansk region.

As previously reported, on December 27, an SMM mid-range UAV spotted about 400 anti-tank mines in a field about 2km south-west of Shyroka Balka (non-government-controlled, 34km north-east of Donetsk).
