Invaders violate ceasefire in Donbas five times

Over the past day, December 18, five ceasefire violations were recorded in the Joint Forces Operation area in Donbas.

"Near Vodiane in the Sea of Azov area, the armed formations of the Russian Federation opened fire on Ukrainian positions, using 120mm mortars. In this area, the enemy remotely mined Ukrainian positions for the second time over several weeks. The occupiers dropped 12 banned POM-2 mines using PKM-1 portable mining kit. The enemy violated the ceasefire three times near Avdiivka (17km north of Donetsk), firing hand-held anti-tank and under-barrel grenade launchers and small arms," the press center of the JFO Headquarters informs.

As noted, the ceasefire was observed in other parts of the contact line.

The occupiers' shots were unaimed and did not pose a threat to the lives of Ukrainian soldiers, so they did not return fire.

"Ukrainian troops sustained no casualties. Today, December 19, no ceasefire violations have been recorded. The ceasefire is observed along the entire contact line," the press center reports.
