Two out of seven checkpoints open in Donbas – State Border Guard Service

Ukraine has opened all seven entry-exit checkpoints in Donbas, but militants continue to block five of them, the Ukrainian State Border Guard Service has told Ukrinform.

"Everything remains the same today. Only two checkpoints in Stanytsia Luhanska and Novotroitske are operating. Entry-exit checkpoints in Shchastia, Zolote, Maiorske, Hnutove, and Marinka remain blocked by Russian-led militants," the report reads.

The State Border Guard Service recalled that the militants allowed the movement of Ukrainian citizens through the Novotroitske-Olenivka checkpoint only on Monday and Friday.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, the humanitarian subgroup of the Trilateral Contact Group for the Settlement of the Situation in Donbas (TCG) at an extraordinary meeting on November 19 agreed on new technical details regarding the unblocking by the Russian side of work of entry-exit checkpoints in Zolote and Shchastia. The work is underway.
