Ukraine, Turkey agree on further military cooperation

Commanders of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Turkey agreed on further cooperation and prospects for training Ukrainian military in the Republic of Turkey, the press service of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry has reported.

"In Vinnytsia, the commanders of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Turkey have agreed on further military cooperation," the report reads.

The Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reached agreements with the Turkish side on the operation of Bayraktar TB2 UAV systems and the prospects for training Ukrainian specialists in the Republic of Turkey.

In addition, the combat experience in Donbas and other issues of mutual interest of the Ukrainian and Turkish sides were discussed.

As Ukrinform reported, on October 16, following a meeting between the Presidents of Ukraine and Turkey, Volodymyr Zelensky and Recep Tayyip Erdogan, in Istanbul, a number of documents were signed, in particular, a framework military agreement between the Governments of Ukraine and Turkey. The document creates a legal basis for expanding bilateral military cooperation in 21 directions.
