OSCE SMM spots weapons in violation of withdrawal lines in occupied Donbas

October 16, the OSCE SMM saw 13 weapons in violation of withdrawal lines in non-government-controlled areas of Luhansk region.

“The SMM saw 13 weapons in violation of withdrawal lines (including a multiple launch rocket system) in non-government-controlled areas of Luhansk region,” reads the daily report of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine (SMM) issued on 19 October 2020.

As noted, the weapons were spotted at an airfield near Peremozhne (19km south of Luhansk) which is a non-government-controlled area.

Apart from one multiple launch rocket system (BM-21 Grad, 122mm), self-propelled howitzers, towed anti-tank gun, and towed howitzers were stored at the airfield.

In addition, the Mission saw eight weapons in non-government-controlled areas of Luhansk region beyond withdrawal lines but outside designated storage sites.
