Russian-led forces violate ceasefire in Donbas three times

On October 16, armed formations of the Russian Federation violated ceasefire in the areas of responsibility of Ukrainian units in Donbas three times, the press center of the JFO Headquarters reports.

In particular, Russian occupation forces twice violated ceasefire near the town of Vodiane. At noon, the enemy fired from a grenade launcher and small arms at this site. In the evening, Russian occupation forces conducted remotely controlled mine laying in areas adjacent to the Ukrainian positions, using a hand-held anti-tank grenade launcher adapted for the use of POM-2 mines.

In addition, in the Marinka area, invaders used automatic grenade launchers and small arms.

Ukrainian servicepersons did not fire back in response to the enemy's fire provocation.

According to the JFO Headquarters, no casualties among Ukrainian defenders were reported.

Today, October 17, no ceasefire violations have been recorded in the areas of responsibility of Ukrainian units. The ceasefire is observed along the entire contact line.
