'LPR' sniper surrenders to Ukrainian military

A sniper of the so-called "Luhansk People's Republic" ("LPR"), who decided to surrender to the Ukrainian military, has been detained in the area of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO), the press center of the JFO headquarters has reported.

"A sniper, who had a military ticket of the so-called 'LPR,' a small amount of money in Russian currency and a narcotic drug, was detained today," the JFO HQ's press center said on its Facebook page on Sunday, August 16.

According to the report, the detainee admitted that he could not withstand the arbitrariness and abuse of the leaders who command the occupation units and voluntarily decided to surrender to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The competent authorities are dealing with the case, the headquarters added.
