Ukraine, Moldova discuss ways to intensify bilateral defense cooperation

Ukrainian Defense Minister Andriy Taran had a phone conversation with his Moldovan counterpart Alexandru Pînzari yesterday, August 11, the press service of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine reports.

During the conversation, the defense ministers discussed the development of regional security, the importance of cooperation with partners and international organizations in order to ensure stability in the region of Southeast Europe.

In addition, special emphasis was placed on ways to intensify bilateral Ukrainian-Moldovan defense cooperation. The parties agreed to strengthen military cooperation, in particular, in such areas as joint participation of units of the two countries in multinational exercises, the exchange of delegations between military educational institutions, as well as the exchange of experience in implementing NATO standards.
