Invaders violate ceasefire in Donbas three times

On August 7, the armed formations of the Russian Federation violated the ceasefire in the areas of responsibility of Ukrainian Joint Forces in Donbas three times.

“The enemy fired unaimed shots from small arms in the area of Novoluhanske (53km north-east of Donetsk); under-barrel grenade launcher - near the village of Shumy (41km north of Donetsk); grenade machine gun - outside Travneve (51km north-east of Donetsk),” the press center of the JFO Headquarters reports.

Ukrainian troops did not return fire.

In addition, the enemy committed two more ceasefire violations near the temporarily uncontrolled populated localities of Uzhivka and Zolote-5, conducting engineering works contrary to the agreements reached within the Trilateral Contact Group.

Today, August 8, no shelling by the armed formations of the Russian Federation has been recorded in the areas of responsibility of the Joint Forces units. No casualties have been reported.

"Measures of complete and comprehensive ceasefire allow the servicepersons to act in accordance with the norms of international law and national legislation of Ukraine if the enemy violates the ceasefire agreements. The situation in the Joint Forces Operation area remains fully controlled," the JFO Headquarters emphasized.
