Invaders violate ceasefire in Donbas eleven times

On June 8, the armed formations of the Russian Federation violated ceasefire in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in Donbas 11 times.

“The enemy used 82mm and 120mm mortars banned under the Minsk agreements, grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine guns, and small arms to shell Ukrainian positions. Ukrainian defenders gave effective response and made the invaders stop their criminal activity,” the press center of the JFO Headquarters reports.

In the zone of action of tactical force “East”, Russian-occupation troops opened fire from 82mm and tripod-mounted man-portable antitank guns on Ukrainian positions near Novotroitske (36km south-west of Donetsk); tripod-mounted man-portable antitank guns – outside Marinka (23km south-west of Donetsk); grenade machine guns and heavy machine guns – on defenders of Vodiane (94km south of Donetsk); heavy machine guns and small arms – on defenders of Bohdanivka (41km south-west of Donetsk).

In the zone of action of tactical force “North”, the enemy used 120mm mortars, grenade launchers of different systems and small arms to shell Ukrainian strongholds near Orikhove (57km north-west of Luhansk); heavy machine guns and small arms – outside Novoluhanske (53km north-east of Donetsk); hand-held antitank grenade launchers – on the outskirts of Novooleksandrivka (65km west of Luhansk); grenade launchers of different systems and small arms – near Khutir Vilnyi and Travneve (51km north-east of Donetsk).

According to intelligence data, three invaders were killed on June 8.

Today, the Russian armed formations have already violated ceasefire four times.

The situation in the JFO area remains controlled by the Joint Forces, the Headquarters noted.
