Invaders fire 120mm mortars, grenade launchers in Donbas

On April 17, the armed formations of the Russian Federation launched five attacks on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in Donbas.

“The enemy used 120mm mortars, which should be kept in the disengagements areas under the Minsk agreements, grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine guns, and small arms to shell Ukrainian positions,” the press center of the JFO Headquarters reports.

Russian-occupation troops launched four attacks in the zone of action of tactical force “East”, using grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine guns, and small arms to shell Ukrainian troops near Hnutove (20km north-east of Mariupol) and Avdiivka (17km north of Donetsk); automatic grenade launchers – outside Opytne (12km north-west of Donetsk); heavy machine guns – in the area of Starohnativka (51km south of Donetsk).

In the zone of action of tactical force “North”, Ukrainian positions came under 120mm fire near Pivdenne (40km north-east of Donetsk).

No casualties among Ukrainian troops were reported over the past day.

Today, the Russian-occupation troops have not opened fire yet.
