Zelensky visits tent camp of military field hospital in Donetsk region

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has visited a tent camp for COVID-19 patients at the 66th military field hospital in Donetsk region.

"President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky familiarized with the functioning of the tent camp for COVID-19 patients at the 66th military field hospital," the Office of the President posted on Facebook.

The President gave the hospital doctors protective equipment and presents to the staff.

"We couldn't come empty-handed, we brought protective equipment. Thank you! You know that now we send [protective equipment] to every region, to every hospital, especially hospitals where coronavirus patients are treated. Our military doctors are also our priority and we provide the military with comprehensive sets of protective equipment," Zelensky said.

The Head of State expressed gratitude to the doctors of the military hospital for their work, for bringing Ukrainian defenders back to life.

He stressed that the hospital also provided assistance to civilians.

The 66th military field hospital is stationed in the town of Pokrovsk, Donetsk region.

As of 09:00 on April 11, Ukraine had 2,511 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases, including 73 lethal cases.
