Invaders fire banned mortars in Donbas

Russian-occupation troops have opened fire on positions of the Joint Forces in Donbas three times. No casualties among Ukrainian military have been reported.

Ukrainian Defense Ministry spokesman Mykhailo Sharavara said this at a briefing on Friday, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"As of 12:00 on March 27, the armed formations of the Russian Federation violated ceasefire in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area three times. In the morning, the enemy fired six 82mm mines and used a mounted antitank grenade launcher to fire at the positions of the Joint Forces outside Talakivka (17km north-east of Mariupol). The Russian-occupation troops also launched attacks from 82mm mortars, automatic mounted grenade launcher and heavy machine guns on the Ukrainian positions near Pavlopil (25km north-west of Mariupol)," the spokesman said.

In addition, according to Sharavara, the enemy used hand-held antitank grenade launchers and small arms to fire at the positions of the Joint Forces outside Pisky (11km north-west of Donetsk).

According to available information, as of 12:00, no casualties among Ukrainian troops were reported.
