Ukrainian troops come under mortar fire near Lebedynske

Russian-led forces have opened mortar fire at the positions of the Joint Forces near Lebedynske in Donetsk region.

Ukrainian Defense Ministry spokesman Maksym Prauta said this at a briefing on Friday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"Today, the Russian-led forces used 82mm mortars to fire at the positions of defenders of Lebedynske (16km east of Mariupol). Eleven mines exploded at the positions of Joint Forces units. No casualties among the Ukrainian military have been reported,” the spokesman said.

Prauta also said that according to the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the Russian-occupation command increased the intensity of operational and combat training of forces and units of the army corps No.1 (Donetsk) and the army corps No.2 (Luhansk).
