Invaders fire banned mortars in Donbas, one Ukrainian soldier killed

On March 3, the armed formations of the Russian Federation violated ceasefire in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in eastern Ukraine seven times.

“The enemy used 82mm mortars banned under the Minsk agreements, grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine guns and small arms to fire on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” the press center of the JFO Headquarters reports.

In the zone of action of tactical force “East”, the Russian-led forces used 82mm mortars, grenade launchers of different systems and small arms to shell Ukrainian positions near Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol); under-barrel grenade launcher – outside Zaitseve (50km north-east of Donetsk); 82mm mortars, grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine guns and small arms – in the area of Lebedynske (16km east of Mariupol).

In the zone of action of tactical force “North”, the enemy fired heavy machine guns and small arms on Ukrainian positions near Luhanske (59km north-east of Donetsk).

Yesterday, on March 3, one Ukrainian serviceman was killed and five more soldiers were wounded.

Today, the Russian-occupation troops have not opened fire yet.
