Russian-led forces violate ceasefire in Donbas 11 times

On March 1, the armed formations of the Russian Federation violated ceasefire in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in eastern Ukraine eleven times. 

“The enemy used 120mm and 82mm mortars, antitank missile system, grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine guns and small arms to fire on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” the press center of the JFO Headquarters reports.

In the zone of action of tactical force “East”, the Russian-led forces used 82mm mortars, automatic mounted grenade launchers and heavy machine guns to shell Ukrainian positions near Pisky (11km north-west of Donetsk); hand-held antitank grenade launcher, heavy machine guns and small arms – outside Lebedynske (16km east of Mariupol); automatic mounted grenade launcher and small arms – in the area of Nevelske (18km north-west of Donetsk); hand-held antitank grenade launcher and small arms – outside Avdiivka (17km north of Donetsk); automatic mounted grenade launchers and small arms – in the area of Berezove (31km south-west of Donetsk); mounted antitank grenade launcher, heavy machine guns and small arms – near Marinka (23km south-west of Donetsk); automatic mounted grenade launchers – outside Taramchuk (29km south-west of Donetsk).

In the zone of action of tactical force “North”, the enemy fired mounted antitank grenade launcher and heavy machine guns on Ukrainian positions near Luhanske (59km north-east of Donetsk); antitank missile system – outside Nyzhnoteple (26km north of. Luhansk); 82mm mortars, automatic mounted grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms – in the area of Novoluhanske (53km north-east of Donetsk); 120mm mortars – near Novotoshkivske (53km west of Luhansk).

Yesterday, on March 1, one member of the Joint Forces was killed, five more were wounded and another two soldiers were injured.

Today, the Russian-occupation troops have already opened fire from grenade launchers of different systems and small arms on defenders of Marinka. No casualties among Ukrainian troops have been reported.
