SMM records ceasefire violations inside disengagement area near Petrivske

The OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine (SMM) continues monitoring the disengagement areas near Stanytsia Luhanska and Zolote, and records ceasefire violations inside the disengagement area near Petrivske.

The OSCE SMM said this in a report issued on February 26, based on information from the monitoring teams received as of 19:30 on February 25, 2020.

"In the early morning hours of February 25, the SMM camera 2km east of Bohdanivka (government-controlled, 41km south-west of Donetsk) recorded six projectiles at an assessed range of 1-3km east and east-south-east, assessed as inside the disengagement area near Petrivske (non-government-controlled, 41km south of Donetsk)," the report says.

In the early morning hours of February 20, the SMM camera in Petrivske recorded three projectiles in flight at an assessed range of 0.5-1km south-west, assessed as inside the disengagement area.

On February 25, inside the disengagement area near Stanytsia Luhanska (government-controlled, 16km north-east of Luhansk), the SMM saw six members of the armed formations (wearing armbands with “JCCC” written on them) between the new span of the bridge and their checkpoint south of it.

In the early morning hours of February 25, the SMM camera in Zolote recorded 15 undetermined explosions at an assessed range of 3-5km south-south-east, which were unable to be assessed as inside or outside the disengagement area near Zolote.
