Defense ministers of Ukraine and Poland discuss cooperation

During a working visit of the Ukrainian delegation to NATO Headquarters, Minister of Defense of Ukraine Andriy Zahorodniuk has met with Minister of National Defense of Poland Mariusz Błaszczak.

“Today, on February 12, Minister of Defense of Ukraine Andriy Zahorodniuk has met with Minister of National Defense of Poland Mariusz Błaszczak during a working visit of the Ukrainian delegation to NATO Headquarters. The main topic of the meeting was current areas of cooperation between the defense ministries of the two countries. In this context, the parties highlighted the further development of military and political cooperation and the importance of Poland's role in Ukraine’s joining the Enhanced Opportunity Partnership program,” the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reports.

It is noted that the ministers exchanged views on further activity of the joint unit of the Grand Hetman Kostiantyn Ostrogski Lithuanian-Polish-Ukrainian Brigade (LITPOLUKRBRIG), as well as the training of Ukrainian units within the framework of the Joint Multinational Training Group - Ukraine.

In addition, the parties expressed their vision on enhancing security in the Sea of Azov and Black Sea region, territorial defense, counteracting hybrid threats and exchanging information on the security situation in border areas, as well as in the military and historical field.
