Invaders firing grenade launchers at Ukrainian positions in Donbas. One soldier wounded

Since the beginning of the day, Russian-led forces have launched five attacks on the positions of the Joint Forces in Donbas. One Ukrainian soldier was wounded.

Ukrainian Defense Ministry spokesman Dmytro Hutsuliak said this at a briefing on Monday, February 3, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

“Today, February 3, the armed formations of the Russian Federation have violated ceasefire in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in eastern Ukraine five times. At 07:45, the invaders began firing mounted automatic grenade launchers and 82mm mines at the positions of our soldiers near Pavlopol (25km north-west of Mariupol). The shelling lasted for 40 minutes," the spokesman said.

At 09:00, the enemy continued to shell the defenders of Pavlopol, using grenade launchers of different systems and heavy machine guns. At 09:20, the Russian-led forces started shelling our positions outside Opytne (12km north-west of Donetsk). At 11:00, they used mounted antitank grenade launchers to fire on the positions of Ukrainian defenders in the area of Avdiivka (17km north of Donetsk).

"According to available information, as a result of the enemy shelling, one of our defenders was wounded," Hutsuliak said.

He also added that the Ukrainian military conducted adequate defensive actions.
