SMM spots tanks loaded on cargo train travelling to occupied Debaltseve

The OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine recorded weapons deployed in violation of withdrawal lines in non-government-controlled areas, including tanks loaded on a cargo train travelling to occupied Debaltseve.

The OSCE SMM informed this in a report issued on January 10, based on information received as of 19:30 on January 9, 2020.

"The SMM observed seven tanks loaded on a cargo train travelling eastwards in Debaltseve (nongovernment-controlled, 58km north-east of Donetsk), as well as other weapons in a non-government-controlled area of Luhansk region, all in violation of withdrawal lines," the report says.

The OSCE SMM recorded more ceasefire violations in Donetsk region and fewer in Luhansk region, compared with the previous reporting period, according to a daily report.

The SMM continued monitoring the security situation at the disengagement areas near Stanytsia Luhanska, Zolote and Petrivske.

The Mission continued to face restrictions to its freedom of movement at checkpoints of the armed formations in southern Donetsk region.
