Turkish Navy will help Ukraine move to NATO standards - Voronchenko

The Turkish Navy will help Ukrainian colleagues move to NATO standards, Commander of the Ukrainian Navy Admiral Ihor Voronchenko has said.

"At a meeting with the Turkish Navy commander, the sides discussed specific projects in a wide range of cooperation activities, first and foremost, concerning joint training, management bodies gaining as fast as possible interoperability and ability to work with the countries of the Alliance. The Turkish Navy will assist us in this," Voronchenko said.

According to him, joint actions on guaranteeing security in the Black Sea region, bilateral technical cooperation, as well as internships of Ukrainian cadets on Turkish Navy ships were also discussed at a meeting between the commanders of the two countries' navies.
