Ukrainian Armed Forces delegation visits NATO's Allied Command Operations headquarters

Representatives of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and NATO's Allied Command Operations have worked out the tasks and responsibilities of headquarters operating at the strategic and operational levels during the planning and conduct of operations, the press service of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry has reported.

"A delegation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, headed by Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Serhiy Nayev, visited NATO's Allied Command Operations in Mons (the Kingdom of Belgium) from November 19 to November 22. Following the meetings, the Ukrainian delegation received extensive information on the tasks and responsibilities of headquarters operating at the strategic and operational level during the planning and conduct of operations," the report reads.

According to the report, Nayev informed representatives of NATO's Allied Command Operations headed by SHAPE's Chief of Staff Markus Kneip (Germany) about the state of transformation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces management system, the security and operational situation around Ukraine, the situation in the area of the Joint Forces Operation in Donbas, including in the disengagement areas.
