JFO Headquarters refutes information about start of disengagement of troops near Zolote

Head of the JFO Headquarters press center Andriy Aheev has stated that no movements towards the disengagement of troops near Zolote are currently taking place.

“I cannot comment on the statements made by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, but we did not have any confirmed information from our command [JFO command] as of morning. There are no movements towards the disengagement of troops at the moment,” Aheev said in an exclusive commentary to Ukrinform.

As reported, Foreign Minister of Ukraine Vadym Prystaiko said on the sidelines of the first investment forum RE: think. Invest in Ukraine in Mariupol that the disengagement of troops in Zolote had started today and was overseen by the OSCE SMM which should record the process officially.

Earlier, the disengagement of troops in Zolote and Petrivske was scheduled for October 7 but was disrupted by militants.

The Defense Ministry of Ukraine reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine were technically ready for the disengagement of troops in Zolote and Petrivske.
