Representatives of UN mission from 11 countries visit Hnutove checkpoint

Representatives of 11 countries from the United Nations mission have visited the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in eastern Ukraine, in particular, the Hnutove entry and exit checkpoint, according to the press center of the JFO Headquarters.

“Representatives of the United Nations humanitarian mission from 11 countries visited the Hnutove checkpoint in the JFO area. The visitors asked many questions about the rules and duration of crossing at the entry and exit checkpoint, the situation around the checkpoint and positive changes in the checkpoint infrastructure. The delegates include representatives from Sweden, Austria, Spain, France, Kyrgyzstan, Estonia, Belgium, Latvia, Germany, Poland and Lithuania. The delegation was led by Head of the EU Support Group for Ukraine Peter Wagner,” reads the report.

In particular, the delegates were interested in the security component at the checkpoint, which is provided by military personnel of the Donetsk Border Detachment of the Joint Forces. Also, mission representatives were able to see the process of inspection procedures at the checkpoint.
