Enemy sniper fires at Ukrainian positions near Zaitseve

Today, Russian-led forces have already launched two attacks on positions of the Ukrainian Joint Forces near Pyshchevyk and Zaitseve in Donbas.

Ukrainian Defense Ministry spokesman Dmytro Hutsuliak said this at a briefing on Monday, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"From the beginning of the day, August 12, the armed formations of the Russian Federation have launched two targeted attacks … As a result of violations of the ceasefire regime by the Russian-led forces and their provocative acts, one of our defenders was wounded," he said.

In particular, in the morning, the invaders used grenade launchers and heavy machine guns to shell Ukrainian troops outside Pyshchevyk (25km north-east of Mariupol). At around 10:30 am, an enemy sniper opened fire on Ukrainian defenders outside Zaitseve (62km north-east of Donetsk).
