Ukrainian sappers begin mine clearance near bridge in Stanytsia Luhanska

Sappers of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine have started mine clearance on the territory adjacent to the destroyed bridge near the Stanytsia Luhanska checkpoint, Stanytsia Luhanska District State Administration has reported on its Facebook page.

"This is the next step on our part to repair the bridge," the report reads.

The participants in the Trilateral Contact Group at a meeting in Minsk on July 17 reached an agreement regarding the repair and operation of the bridge in Stanytsia Luhanska.

According to the agreements reached, the parties must simultaneously begin repairing the bridge. On Wednesday, July 31, the Trilateral Contact Group agreed to start mine clearance near the bridge from August 1.
