Danyliuk meets with NATO delegation to discuss European integration of Ukraine

Secretary of Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) Oleksandr Danyliuk held a meeting with a NATO delegation led by Head of the NATO Representation to Ukraine Alexander Vinnikov, according to the NSDC’s press service.

"The parties discussed the prospects for Ukraine’s Euro-Atlantic integration, the tasks completed within the framework of the Ukraine-NATO annual program and strategic plans," the report says.

In particular, Vinnikov was informed about the priorities of the NSDC’s work, including cyber security and defense industry reform. He also commended the start of work on Ukraine’s national security strategy.

According to Danyliuk, to implement certain plans it is necessary to reform the legislation in these areas, and the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine is currently working on this.

At the same time, the head of the NATO Representation noted that the security sector reform would have a positive impact on the process of Ukraine’s Euro-Atlantic integration, and assured of the support of NATO.
