Ukraine, Canada share commitment to regional peace and security - Harjit Sajjan

Canada and Ukraine share commitment to regional peace and security, Canadian Minister of National Defense Harjit Sajjan has written on Twitter.

“Canada and Ukraine share a close partnership with our vibrant Ukrainian community, strong defence relationship and shared commitment to regional peace and security,” he wrote.

The Canadian minister also added that he spoke with Ukraine’s Interior Minister Arsen Avakov at the Ukraine Reform Conference about how the two countries can strengthen the military cooperation.

The Ukraine Reform Conference has started in Toronto on July 2. Similar events took place in Copenhagen and London in 2018 and 2017, respectively. The main purpose of the conference is to familiarize international partners with Ukraine’s achievements in implementing systemic reforms, as well as outline further directions of cooperation and practical assistance to Ukraine on this path.
