Ukrainian rescuers and members of the National Guard will receive three H225 helicopters this year. Two more H125 helicopters will be transferred to the Interior Ministry’s Flight Academy for pilot training.

Ukrainian Interior Minister Arsen Avakov reached the corresponding agreements with Airbus Helicopters CEO Bruno Iven during the Paris Air Show 2019 at Le Bourget, the press service of the Interior Ministry of Ukraine reports.

“By the end of the year, we will receive three more H225 helicopters: two of them for the State Emergency Service and one more for the National Guard. In addition, two H125 helicopters will be transferred to the Interior Ministry’s Flight Academy in Kremenchuh town to train our pilots and upgrade their skills. Moreover, we will get H225 full flight simulator in 2020,” Avakov stressed.

According to him, a modern pilot training center is being created at the Kremenchuh University thanks to the early delivery of the first two H125 and H225 helicopters, which “will arrive in Ukraine and will be in operation as early as December 2020.”

In turn, the Airbus Helicopters CEO underscored that creation of a local center for the preparation of maintenance operation in Ukraine was an important part of the joint agreement.

As reported, on July 14, 2018, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and France's Airbus Helicopters signed an agreement on the purchase of 55 helicopters. In December 2018, Ukraine received two helicopters under the contract with the French company Airbus Helicopters.

On January 30, the third Airbus helicopter arrived in Ukraine intended for the needs of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
