Russian-led forces violate ceasefire in Donbas five times

The armed formations of the Russian Federation violated ceasefire five times in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in Donbas over the past day.

“The enemy used grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine guns, automatic small arms and sniping weapons to launch attacks on Ukrainian defenders,” the press center of the JFO Headquarters reports.

In the zone of action of tactical force “East”, Russian-led forces opened fire from hand-held grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms on Ukrainian troops near Vodiane (94km south of Donetsk) and Pavlopol (25km north-west of Mariupol); heavy machine guns – outside Hnutove (20km north-east of Mariupol).

In the zone of action of tactical force “North”, the enemy used automatic mounted grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and sniping weapons to shell Ukrainian positions near Shumy (41km north of Donetsk).

Three Ukrainian soldiers were wounded in the shelling. The Joint Forces adequately returned fire in response to the enemy’s shooting.

Today, the enemy has not opened fire yet.

The Joint Forces reliably control the enemy on the contact line, adhering to ceasefire agreements.
