Russian-led forces launch 12 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas

The armed formations of the Russian Federation violated ceasefire 12 times, using the weapons banned under the Minsk agreements five times, in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in Donbas over the past day.

“The enemy used 122mm artillery systems, 82mm and 120mm mortars, heavy machine guns, grenade launchers of different systems and small arms to shell Ukrainian defenders,” the press center of the JFO Headquarters reports.

In addition, the armed formations of the Russian Federation fired hand-held grenade launchers on the village of Travneve (51km north-east of Donetsk), putting the lives and health of local residents at risk. Fortunately, no civilian casualties were reported.

In the zone of action of tactical force “East”, Russian-led forces opened fire from 82mm mortars, hand-held grenade launchers and small arms on Ukrainian troops near Novomykhailivka (28km south-west of Donetsk); automatic mounted grenade launchers – outside Avdiivka (17km north of Donetsk); grenade launchers of different systems – in the area of Chermalyk (31km north-east of Mariupol) and Pavlopol (25km north-west of Mariupol).

In the zone of action of tactical force “North”, the enemy used 122mm artillery systems, 120mm mortars, heavy machine guns and small arms to shell Ukrainian positions near Novozvanivka (70km west of Luhansk); 120mm mortars and grenade launchers of different systems – outside Novoluhanske (53km north-east of Donetsk); 120mm mortars – in the area of Popasna (69km west of Luhansk); automatic mounted grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms – near Novhorodske (35km north of Donetsk); hand-held grenade launchers and small arms – outside Mayorske (45km north of Donetsk).

One serviceman of the Joint Forces was wounded in shelling. The Joint Forces units adequately returned fire in response to the enemy shooting.

According to intelligence, two invaders were wounded.

Today, the enemy has not opened fire yet.

The Joint Forces reliably control the enemy on the contact line, adhering to ceasefire agreements.
