Russian-led forces violate ceasefire in Donbas 11 times. One Ukrainian soldier killed

On May 8, the armed formations of the Russian Federation violated ceasefire 11 times, using weapons banned under the Minsk agreements twice, in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in eastern Ukraine.

“The enemy fired 82mm mortars, grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine guns, and small arms on the units of the Joint Forces,” the press center of the Joint Forces Headquarters reports.

In the zone of action of tactical force “East”, Russian-led forces opened fire from 82mm mortars, grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine guns, and small arms on Ukrainian troops near Pavlopol (25km north-west of Mariupol); grenade launchers of different systems – outside Marinka (23km south-west of Donetsk); automatic mounted grenade launchers and heavy machine guns – in the area of Bohdanivka (41km south-west of Donetsk); automatic mounted grenade launchers – near Starohnativka (51km south of Donetsk); automatic mounted grenade launchers and heavy machine guns – outside Lebedynske (16km east of Mariupol); hand-held antitank grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms - in the area of Opytne (12km north-west of Donetsk).

In the zone of action of tactical force “North”, the enemy used 82mm mortars to shell Ukrainian positions near Novotoshkivske (53km west of Luhansk); grenade launchers of different systems and heavy machine guns– in the area of Zalizne (42km north-east of Donetsk)

One Ukrainian soldier was killed and four more were wounded over the past day, the JFO Headquarters reports.

Today, the enemy has not opened fire yet.
