Ukraine’s National Security Council deputy secretary to discuss army reform in US

Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Serhiy Kryvonos is paying a working visit to Washington, D.C., where he is expected to take part in a meeting of the Ukraine-US commission for the exchange of information on developments and research in the field of military-technical cooperation.

A corresponding announcement has been posted on the website of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.

“Moreover, Kryvonos is to meet with Director of the US Defense Security Cooperation Agency Charles Hooper, the US Senior Military-Industrial Complex Reform Advisor Donald Winters, Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Russia, Ukraine, Eurasia Laura Cooper, Senior Regional Policy Advisor at the Defense Technology Security Administration Jon Chicky, experts from the Institute for Defense Analyses (IDA). During the meetings, the issues of reforming the Ukrainian military-industrial complex will be discussed. The meetings with representatives of American defense enterprises, experts and specialists in the field of cyber security will also be held,” the statement reads.
