Ukrainian troops in Donbas move one kilometer forward

The Armed Forces of Ukraine conducted a successful operation in Novozvanivka village in Luhansk region and moved one kilometer forward.

"On May 2, 2019, as a result of successful operation in the area of Novozvanivka [70km west of Luhansk], the units of the 46th separate assault battalion ‘Donbas-Ukraine’ moved one kilometer forward and took up advantageous positions, gaining an advantage over the enemy," Vyacheslav Vlasenko (code name “Filin”), the commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces battalion "Donbas-Ukraine", posted on Facebook.

According to Vlasenko, three battalion members were wounded as a result of the military clash. They were provided with emergency medical care and subsequently evacuated to a military hospital.

As reported, Russian armed formations violated ceasefire 15 times, using 82mm and 120mm mortars banned under the Minsk agreements four times, in the Joint Forces Operation area in Donbas over the past day.
