Russian-led forces launch 13 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas

Russian occupation forces launched 13 attacks, using weapons banned under the Minsk agreements seven times, on positions of Ukrainian troops in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in Donbas over the past day.

The enemy fired 31 120mm and 82mm mortars into Ukrainian troops. In addition, the illegal armed formations fired weapons on infantry fighting vehicles, grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine guns and small arms on the units of the Joint Forces.

“In the zone of action of tactical force ‘East’, Russian-led forces opened fire from 120mm mortars, weapons on infantry fighting vehicles, and mounted antitank grenade launchers on Ukrainian troops near Pavlopol (25km north-west of Mariupol); 120mm mortars – outside Pisky (11km north-west of Donetsk); 82mm mortars and mounted antitank grenade launchers in the area of Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol); grenade launchers of different systems, hand-held antitank grenade launchers and heavy machine guns – outside Hnutove (20km north-east of Mariupol); grenade launchers of different systems and small arms – in the area of Avdiivka (17km north of Donetsk); mounted antitank grenade launchers – near Verkhniotoretske (22km north-east of Donetsk).

In the zone of action of tactical force “North”, illegal armed formations used 120mm and 82mm mortars to shell the Joint Forces units in the area of Katerynivka (64km west of Luhansk); 120mm mortars – near Novooleksandrivka (65km west of Luhansk); 82mm mortars and small arms – outside Zolote-4 (59km west of Luhansk).

No casualties among Ukrainian servicemen were reported.

Today, the enemy has already opened fire from 82mm mortars and automatic mounted grenade launchers on Ukrainian defenders near Pisky.
