Hnutove checkpoint in Donbas resumes operation

Today, April 9, the entry-exit Hnutove checkpoint in Donbas has been opened for citizens and vehicles, according to the press service of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

“As some measures on the reconstruction of the Hnutove checkpoint have been completed, the passage of persons through the demarcation line at this checkpoint has been resumed today, from 7 a.m. Under the decision of the Joint Forces Commander [Serhiy Nayev], the red regime at the Marinka checkpoint has been prolonged. The passage of citizens and vehicles through this humanitarian road corridor has been temporarily suspended because of possible threats to the lives of civilians in connection with shelling by the Russian-backed armed formations in the direction of the road corridor,” the statement reads.

Other checkpoints along the contact line operate as unusual, the State Border Guard Service added.
