Pryluky boat, NATO frigate hold joint drills in Black Sea

The Pryluky missile boat of the Ukrainian Navy and the Royal Canadian Navy frigate HMCS Toronto have conducted joint maneuvers in the Black Sea, the press service of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry has reported.

"During the exercises, the Ukrainian missile boat Pryluky and the Royal Canadian Navy frigate FFH 333 Toronto have completed tasks on tactical maneuvering and conducted joint practical artillery firing and a series of training exercises with Ukrainian Navy aircraft," reads the statement.

It notes that operating officers from the Royal Canadian Navy frigate were on board the Pryluky missile boar during the exercise and directly controlled the actions of the Ukrainian and Canadian vessels during the execution of their tasks and appreciated the training of Ukrainian sailors.

According to the press service, Standing NATO Maritime Group 2 will stay in the Black Sea for three weeks in accordance with the Montreux Convention.
