Ukraine to test latest missile weapons

Ukraine will test the latest missile weapons in the near future and then send it to the Armed Forces, President Petro Poroshenko has said.

He said this at a meeting with Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksandr Turchynov and Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Serhiy Kryvonos, the press service of the head of state reported.

"The president noted that the latest missile weapons, after the completion of the tests to be held in the next few days, should be put sent to the Ukrainian Armed Forces," the report reads.

Turchynov, in turn, reported that most of the defense industry enterprises are operating in regular mode and quite effectively, in particular, on the implementation of the missile program approved by the decision of the National Security and Defense Council.

"In the near future, it is planned to test new powerful missile systems and, given their importance for strengthening our country's defense, we are proposing that you personally take part in the final stage of the tests," Turchynov said, addressing the head of state.
