Russian-led forces launch eleven attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas

Russian occupation forces launched eleven attacks, using weapons banned under the Minsk agreements ten times, on positions of Ukrainian troops in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in Donbas over the past day.

“The enemy fired 74 120mm and 82mm mortars, antitank missile system, weapons on infantry fighting vehicles, grenade launchers, heavy machine guns, sniper and small arms on Ukrainian troops,” the JFO Headquarters press centre reports on Facebook.

In the zone of action of tactical force “East”, invaders opened fire from automatic mounted grenade launchers and heavy machine guns near Lebedynske (16km east of Mariupol); from sniper arms – outside Marinka (23km south-west of Donetsk).

In the zone of action of tactical force “North”, Russian-led troops fired 120mm and 82mm mortars, grenade launchers on Ukrainian positions near Novoluhanske (53km north-east of Donetsk); 120mm and 82mm mortars, heavy machine guns and small arms – near Staryi Aidar (20km north-west of Luhansk); 120mm and 82mm mortars, grenade launchers of different systems and heavy machine guns – in the area of Katerynivka (64km west of Luhansk); 120mm mortars and weapons on BMP-1 infantry fighting vehicle – outside Troitske (69km west of Luhansk); 82mm mortars – near Pishchane (22km north of Luhansk) and Stanytsia Luhanska (16km north-east of Luhansk); antitank missile system – near Vilne (70km south-west of Donetsk).

Three Ukrainian servicemen were wounded in shelling.

According to the intelligence, two invaders were annihilated and five more were wounded on March 20. The munitions depot and one military vehicle of the enemy were destroyed.

Today, the Russian-led armed formations have not opened fire yet.

The Joint Forces reliably control the enemy on the contact line, adhering to the ceasefire regime.
