President: Combat capabilities of Ukrainian army growing daily

The combat capabilities of the Ukrainian army grow every day. The army receives new units of weapons every week.

“The combat capabilities of the Ukrainian army grow every day! Every week it receives new units of weapons produced at the Ukrainian defense enterprises,” President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said during a meeting of the Zhytomyr Region Development Council on Monday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

Now the Ukrainian army is among ten best armies on the continent, it has stopped the enemy and “holds the fort” on the eastern border of Ukraine.

“For the first time in the history, we have got the real guarantees of our Ukrainian independence, not those on paper. These guarantees are in the hands of our Ukrainian soldiers, who are trained, well-armed, raised in the tradition of the liberation struggle of Ukrainians," Petro Poroshenko emphasized.
