Russian-backed forces mount 18 attacks on Ukrainian positions in Donbas

Russian occupation forces violated the ceasefire regime in Donbas 18 times on March 7, according to a statement posted on the Facebook page of the headquarters of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO).

"On March 7, Russian occupation forces violated the ceasefire regime 18 times, using weapons proscribed by the Minsk agreements 14 times. The enemy fired on the positions of our troops from 152mm artillery shells and 120mm and 82mm mortar shells, having used 119 shells," the statement reads.

Five Ukrainian defenders were injured in the attacks.

"According to intelligence, four invaders were killed and 13 were injured. An infantry fighting vehicle of the enemy was destroyed," the JFO HQ reported.

No ceasefire violations were recorded on March 8.

"The Joint Forces reliably control the enemy on the contact line, while respecting the ceasefire terms," the report reads.
