Poroshenko calls NSDC meeting on Ukroboronprom activities

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has called a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) for Wednesday, March 6, to consider the activities and reform of the Ukroboronprom State Concern.

He stated this at a meeting of the Council for Regional Development of Mykolaiv region on Monday, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"We have long planned a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council with the agenda including the issue of reforming Ukroboronprom and strengthening the transparency of its activities, expanding government, parliamentary and public control over the defense sector. This morning, I instructed NSDC Secretary Oleksandr Valentynovych Turchynov to prepare this meeting tentatively for Wednesday," Poroshenko said.

In addition, the head of state ordered the holding of the necessary consultations with foreign partners.
